New York City FC's David Villa Just Scored MLS Goal of the Year From Just Inside Midfield

David Villa scored 23 goals and made the 2016 MLS All-Star Game as a member of New York City FC.

On Friday night, Villa faced off against the Philadelphia Union and scored the MLS goal of the year to this point.

David outraced the Union defense to a bouncing ball at midfield and flicked the ball over the goalie’s head for a sensational goal.
