This afternoon the Titans General Manager Mike Reinfeldt, Vice President of Football Operations, Lake Dawson, and Vice President of Player Personnel, Ruston Webster were all elevated in their positioning with Tennessee.

Reinfeldt will now be Senior Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer and will be overseeing all basic aspects of the Titans’ organization. Reinfeldt has spent the last five seasons with the Titans and has experience before that with the Seahawks, Green Bay, Oakland Raiders, Houston Oilers, Los Angeles Raiders, and University of Southern California all within a 26 year run. He has played roles as a player, Athletic Director, General Manager and Football Operations Vice President.

Titans owner Bud Adams seems to be alright with these changes releasing a statement, “With this shuffle, we really have the best of both worlds – as you might remember our final two candidates when we were filling the general manager position five years ago were Mike [Reinfeldt] and Ruston Webster. We now have both of them working for us and Ruston will take over the General Manager role.”

Webster will get part of Reinfeldt’s old position and become Executive Vice President/General Manager. Webster has six years of experience with player personal between the Titans, Seahawks and Buccaneers. He was the Manager for the Seahawks during the end of the 2009 season.

Dawson will now play Webster’s old role of Vice President of Player Personnel. He has spent five seasons with the Titans and his first four were played as the role of Director of Pro Scouting and last year he was the Vice President of Football Operations.

Apparently Head Coach Mike Munchak is in agreement with these moves also. He believes Webster is a “great talent evaluator”.

Everyone wants to see the Titans start to push forward towards better seasons let’s all hope that even keeping these same guys in the Front office will help with the outcome on the Field. Fingers crossed that their luck wouldn’t have been better bringing in an outsider.
