Cheerleaders are a big part of football games. They have a huge responsibility to help get the crowd moving and ready for kick-off. Regardless of the reason as to why you enjoy seeing the cheerleaders at games, they are a huge part of the franchise and the Tennessee Titans Cheerleaders are proud to be one of the best squads in the league.

Just recently rookie cheerleader Molly was able to experience something a little different they just being her cheerleader self. Molly isn’t just a cheerleader, in fact first and foremost she is a figure skater and she just returned home from touring in Europe with the professional figure skating show “Broadway on Ice.”

She has skated now for 30 years and has competed all around the nation both as a single skater and as a pair. During her skating years of 2000-2003 she even earned international medals while being a part of the U.S. Figure Skating Team.

Throughout the tour Molly was part of a 20-person cast which included two signers, one pianist and 17 international principal skaters. This event was able to bring some of the best skaters from Canada, Austria, France, Hungry, Russia and of course the United States.

The Titans official website, Titansonline.com, had the chance to talk to Molly upon her arrival home. She is very thankful for the experience and feels that it will help her bring new ideas to the squad in Tennessee.

“It has been four years since I have done this show, so it was such a blast catching up and spending time with some of my favorite people in the world,” said Molly. “Even though most of our tour was traveling as a cast by bus, hours layered up freezing in rehearsals learning steps over and over, as well as, hours backstage in hair, make up and quick changing! It’s a busy world as a professional skater touring from country to country and venue to venue. Whether it’s ‘Life on a Frozen Stage’ or ‘Sunday Sidelines of the Grid Iron,’ I wouldn’t change it for the world, and I’m proud to say I’m an athlete and a showgirl for life!”

During the tour Molly was able to perform across the Czech Republic for nearly 44,000 fans. She not only did numbers with the 20-person group cast, she also did a number with just two other skaters. Between all the practices, prior to the tour she was rehearsing up to twelve hours per day in preparation.
