It’ almost that time and many of the Tennessee Titans have already reported to training camp. Rookies and quarterbacks were required to appear on Tuesday the 24, and they will be joined by the rest of their teammates starting tomorrow, Friday the 27.

With training camp hours away the Titans have made some big moves but to me, it still worries me that Kendall Wright does not have a contract. The Titans have made the executive decision to put Kenny Britt on the PUP (physically unable to perform) list which means that now more than ever Wright will be in a huge role for the team.

It seems as though the biggest hold up in his contract is determining exactly how much money should be guaranteed to him. It’s expected that he will end up signing a four-year deal worth about $8.2 million.

Other changes that the Titans have made include releasing offensive lineman Chandler Burden and rookie, 2012 NFL Draft pick Markelle Martin will join Britt on the PUP list. Britt and Martin are still counted towards the Titans active roster and as of right now the roster has 88 active players on it.

Once training camp starts, the team has two weeks until the first preseason game on August 11 to make final moves and the active roster cannot exceed 90 players. By August 27 the roster must be cut down to 75 players and by the time the regular season starts on August 31 the final moves will be made to stand the roster at 53 players before the Titans open up their regular season against the New England Patriots on Sunday September 9.
