Many people sit around during the month of August and watch preseason NFL Preseason football, but state that it doesn’t really matter. To me, it’s a bit of a different story and it is really a test to the Tennessee Titans especially with everything that they have had to deal with during the offseason.

Even though it is preseason, and many teams don’t play their “starters” all that much, you didn’t see Kenny Britt. If you watched the game against the Seattle Seahawks tonight, you saw a heck of a lot of first round pick Kendall Wright.

I’ll tell you one thing, it may be preseason but I like the way this kid is playing. He is really pulling out all the stakes, he is making things happen and he is going to be excellent for the Titans. While many people got playing time Wright was able to capture three passes for 47 yards with his longest being 18 yards on a carry.

The same goes for Marc Mariani, he has already seen more time in preseason then he did in the regular season last year. He has something to prove too other than just being a punt returner with two catches for 52 yards, one was a kick return of 28 yards.

Matt Hasselbeck, Jake Locker and Rusty Smith all saw time during the game tonight. Hasselbeck and Locker split the first half and while Locker started the third quarter Rusty Smith got in on the action with about ten minutes left in the third quarter. Almost right as he was added to the line, Smith threw a great pass to Mariani for a gain of 39 years followed by a hand off for a touchdown by Darius Reynaud.

NFL draftee Nick Stephens got to come in for the final two minutes of the game.

With 5:12 left in the third quarter, Reynaud would return a punt for an 85 yard touchdown to bring it to a score of 16-17.

The teams traded turnovers mid-fourth, the Seahawks took the ball from Tennessee however they returned the favor intercepting it in the end zone the possession immediately afterward.

Rob Bironas was perfect with extra point kick opportunities. Tennessee’s back up, Will Benson, however was not, missing a clutch field goal with 4:46 left in the fourth quarter with the Titans down 17-20.

As far as the Hasselbeck/Locker competition is concerned, it is not like one looked better than the other in this particular game. They had their ups and downs just like any player.

While they were pretty even in completions Locker had more yards and fewer interceptions.

With Seattle having possession with 1:51 left in the fourth, Tennessee let up just enough for a forty yard touchdown run by Wilson to seal the deal for the Seahawks making the final score 27-17 with the extra point being good.

Tennessee didn’t let up at the end. They got faked out of their jock straps by a good play. Just state the truth.

I’m sorry, but someone has to say it. This article was embarrassingly bad. Pretty sure this lady knows nothing about football and got a D in English class. Don’t mean to hate, but articles this bad shouldn’t be published.
