Theo Fleury Predicts that Vancouver Canucks will be First Round Fallouts
On Friday morning long time Calgary Flame’s player Theo Fleury went on a Calgary Radio station predicting that the league’s top team, the Vancouver Canucks would be ousted in the first round of the 2011 playoffs, no matter what opponent they are facing. And yes, Fleury was sober when he said this. A quote from the interview has Fleury saying that, “I stand by what I said, the Vancouver Canucks will not make it out of the first round,” Fleury told The Vancouver Sun. “Vancouver is going to get a very playoff tested team, it could be Anaheim, it could be Chicago … All I’m pointing out is most teams that finish first overall in the NHL have not gone on to have a whole lot of success.” After reading the quote one could say that Fleury does not have faith in the Philadelphia Flyers either as they are currently sitting first in the eastern conference.
Fleury I laughed at your attempt to comeback as a member of the Flames at age 31, oh wait it was 41. And I will give a hearty laugh to your recent comment too. I also will gladly take the bet of Vancouver will very well be in the 2nd round of the 2011 playoffs.
