The Vancouver Canucks defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning 5-4 in a shootout on Tuesday. Manny Malhotra, Ryan Kesler, Alex Edler and Jannik Hansen scored for the Canucks. For the Lightning, Steve Downie, Vincent Lecavalier, Ryan Malone and Steven Stamkos scored for the Lightning. Stamkos, Lecavalier and Malone also added an assist and Martin St. Louis had 2 assists in the game. The Lightning outshot the Canucks 31-28 in the game. Dwyane Roloson and Cory Schneider had quite a battle against each other but it was Schneider who came out on top in the shootout. Mason Raymond scored the game’s only shootout goal and boy, did he do it in a fashion. He did a spin-o-rama and put the puck past Roloson. The Canucks will wrap up their 4 game road trip on Thursday in St. Louis.
