Vancouver Canucks Daniel Sedin out indefinitely with head injury
The Vancouver Canucks have announced that Daniel Sedin will be out indefinitely after being injured by a Duncan Keith elbow with nearly minutes into the 1st period. Keith likely did this out of retaliation of Sedin hitting him earlier in the game. Zack Kassian and Alex Burrows went after Keith around the midway mark of the 2nd period. They all got a 10 minute misconduct and a 2 minute roughing penalty. Sedin have been sent home to Vancouver for further evaluation and to rest up. Keith is likely going to be suspended for the 1st time in his NHL career since he’s never been suspended by the NHL before. There’s a possibility that the Canucks could begin the playoffs without Daniel Sedin. One things for sure, Keith will have a target the next time the Canucks and Blackhawks meet. Even if Keith gets suspended, the Sedin injury is likely to hurt the Canucks more because Keith might just get a 3 game suspension and Sedin might be out until around playoff time.
