Chris Bosh Injury: Miami Heat’s 2012 NBA Title Chances?

Chris Bosh is the latest player to catch the injury bug in the 2012 NBA playoffs.

The Miami Heat say Chris Bosh will be out indefinitely because of a strained abdominal muscle which was confirmed by an MRI exam on monday. Bosh was hurt late in the first half of the Heat’s 9 point victory over the pacers in game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals.

Bosh had thirteen points and five boards when the injury occurred… he averaged eighteen and eight… and the heat are four and five without Bosh this season (including the playoffs). Expect Ronny Turiaf and Joel Anthony to fill in and of course now James and Wade will be forced to pick up the slack in Bosh’s absence… something I’m sure those two will have no problem with the rest of this series.

You’ve heard Heat Coach Erik Spoelstra often says Bosh is the most irreplaceable player on the Heat… but I would say the League’s MVP is pretty irreplaceable too.

We don’t know how long he’ll be sidelined exactly because abdominal strains are one of the trickiest injuries in the game to determine a recovery time and we’re unclear of the severity strain but we want to ask you this — let’s assume Miami will be without chris bosh the rest of the season… How far can the Miami Heat go without him?
