Prediction: Lakers' Season is Over

The Los Angeles Lakers are on the brink of elimination down three game to one against the much younger, more talented Oklahoma City Thunder.

Yeah, they’re done. Kobe Bryant isn’t going to lead the Lakers to three straight wins against OKC; not if Pau Gasol doesn’t plan on contributing in the 4th quarter the rest of the way.

The Lakers blew a 14 point lead in the 4th quarter in game four, Gasol didn’t even attempt a field goal. He also took a lot of heat for a critical turnover with 30 seconds left when the game was tied; Durant knocked down the three and the Thunder rolled to take a commanded lead in the series.

Gasol isn’t solely to blame for the loss. You have to question the shot selection from Bryant, but more importantly you have to give credit to the Thunder.

The way Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant, and OKC are playing, it’s hard to see them not reaching the NBA Finals. Oh wait, tell that to the guys down in San Antonio who haven’t lost yet this postseason.

In the Eastern Conference Semi-final, Dan Parzych looks ahead to the rest of the Celtics vs. 76ers series and explains why Andre Iguodala is the key for Philadelphia to get by Boston.
