How can you not be impressed with the performance of the Oklahoma City Thunder. They knocked Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers out in five games rather convincingly. The torched has officially been passed to OKC; the Thunder advance to their second straight Conference Finals.

Brandon Bass, yeah, Brandon Bass has 27 points and Kevin Garnett added 20 in the Boston Celtics game 5 win over Philadelphia. The Sixers are on the brink of elimination, and I feel like Boston will knock them off Wednesday night in Philadelphia.

The Orlando Magic have fired head coach Stan Van Gundy and GM Otis Smith. This was obviously to cater to big man Dwight Howard in order to get him to sign a long-term extension which he won’t sign. The Magic won’t feel like dealing with all the drama, and they’re going to trade Howard this summer. That’s my gut feeling anyway, so take it for what it’s worth.

In the MLB, Cardinal nation are holding their collective breathe in anticipation of Lance Berkman’s second opinion later this week. The MRI revealed no damage to his ACL, only a torn meniscus would would keep him out 6-8 weeks.

If there’s ACL damage, it could likely be the last we see of the 36 year-old veteran.

The Seattle Seahawks have traded a 7th Round draft pick, and potentially a 6th rounder for Tampa Bay tight-end Kellen Winslow. Seattle will pick up the remaining 36 million left on his 3-year contract.
