Norv Turner on NFL Head Coaches Hot Seat for 2012

Norv Turner – San Diego Chargers

Norv Turner could not have asked for a better position in 2007 considering he was taking over a talented team coming off an impressive 14-2 season the year before. While the Chargers went on to win the AFC West in each of Turner’s first three seasons, the head coach has still been criticized over the years for his inability to get his team to the promised land with Super Bowl caliber teams.

On top of that, San Diego has failed to make the playoffs over the last two seasons–which is embarrassing considering they play in arguably the weakest division in football with the AFC West. Many were surprised to see Turner return for the 2012 season and he’s most likely one more disappointing season away from being unemployed.

Honestly–what team would want a head coach with a career record below .500 during the regular season? That’s why Norv Turn is on the NFL Head Coaches Hot Seat for 2012.
