Will Barton | SG | Memphis
Will Barton was fun to watch for the Tigers. He’s long and athletic, and competes hard on both ends of the floor. He has the ability to compete at the next level for plenty years to come because of his ability to get to the bucket, but if he can find consistency from the perimeter he’ll make any team that drafts him happy they did.
Draymond Green | SF | Michigan State
What didn’t Graymond Green do for the Spartans in his four years at Michigan State? There’s a reason his coach Tom Izzo said he might be the best player in college basketball. NBA teams are worried about how he’ll match up with other forwards in the league, but he got tremendous upside because of his outstanding skill set. Passing, rebounding, and perimeter shooting are all part of his arsenal.
Festus Ezeli | C | Vanderbilt
Festus Ezeli is slotted to go late 1st round early 2nd round in most NBA mock drafts. He’s 6’11″ with an NBA body that’s ready to bang underneath with the big boys. He still working on his game from an offensive standpoint, but the NBA can always use mobile big men. Ezeli’s hard work ethic and continued progress in all facets of his game makes you think he isn’t close to his ceiling.
Royce White | SF | Iowa State
This 6’8″ small forward is a gifted athlete, and a great playmaker. He’s body is NBA ready, and so are his skills. He’s got a good handle, and is a crafty scorer from the low post. He needs to get more consistent from deep, and work on his free-throws. He lottery pick talent, however there’s an issue. White has anxiety about flying. Hopefully this can be controlled because he’s about to become a frequent flyer in the NBA. He’ll be fine, and there will be teams wishing they wouldn’t have passed up on him in the draft.
Kendall Marshall | PG | North Carolina
Most NBA mock drafts have Kendall Marshall going in the bottom half of the first round. Granted he doesn’t have blow-by speed or the athleticism of some other point guards he’ll be going up against in the NBA, but Marshall is an excellent distributer, a better shooter than most think, and a steal for any team that drafts him.
