As long as Tom Brady is healthy, the New England Patriots will always be considered one of the top teams in the NFL. For the first time in his career, Brady managed to cross the 5,000-yard mark after he threw for 5,235 yards to go along with 39 touchdowns–which is why he’s ranked No. 3 on our list of top 10 quarterbacks for the fantasy football 2012 season.
Brady jumped out to one of the hottest starts last year after throwing for 1,327 yards and 11 touchdowns over his first three games and played a key role in helping the Patriots reach the Super Bowl for the fifth time in his career. With weapons like Wes Welker, Rob Gronkowski, Aaron Hernandez, and the addition of Brandon Lloyd, Brady should be in for another MVP-type season once again in 2012.
Everybody knows Brady is one of the most competitive quarterbacks in the NFL who always strives to be the best at what he does at quarterback and he doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon. New England could be up 20 or 30 points in a game and Brady would still be throwing the ball most of the time–which is great from a fantasy perspective.
He may not be taken in the first round like Aaron Rodgers or Drew Brees, but Brady will most likely be off the board by the end of the third round in most leagues. With the way he started off last year over the first three games, imagine the type of numbers Brady would have put up if he had played at that high level the entire season.
