Fantasy Football 2012 Rankings: Atlanta Falcons Wide Receiver Roddy White

The Atlanta Falcons have reached the playoffs in three of the last four seasons–with one of the main reasons being the high level Roddy White has played at. The Falcons wideout is arguably one of the top wide receivers in the NFL because of his consistent numbers each season and with the fantasy football 2012 season right around the corner–expectations are high for White once again.

In his seven-year career with the Falcons, White has never missed a game and has recorded five-straight seasons with at least 1,100 receiving yards and six touchdowns. What’s even more impressive–White has recorded 300 catches for 3,838 yards and 29 touchdowns over the last three seasons.

From a fantasy perspective, White will be considered a No. 1 wideout in all leagues as he should post big numbers once again during the 2012 season and will most likely fall in the second or third round. Plus, he’s playing alongside one of the league’s rising stars in Julio Jones–which means White could benefit even more in the passing game.

White and Jones have the potential to become one of the league’s best duos at wide receiver and it should be fun to see what level they play at during the regular season. Atlanta has the chance to be a strong competitor once again in the NFC South heading into 2012 and whether or not this team reaches the playoffs could rely on the performance of White.

Most teams are lucky enough to have one dominant wide receiver–so the Falcons should consider themselves lucky to have two stars on board in White and Jones.
