Rant-O-Matic: Texas A&M Makes SEC Debut, Peyton Manning Makes First Regular Season Start

Texas A&M Aggies Makes SEC Debut Against Florida Gators

After a 27-14 win over Bowling Green in Week 1, Florida hopes to give Texas A&M a rude awakening in their SEC debut on Saturday. Texas A&M already started the trash talking earlier this week and they certainly have what it takes to pull of the upset, but they may need a big game from Christine Michael if they have any chance of doing so.

Michael missed the final four games of the 2011 season after suffering a knee injury, but still managed to record 899 rushing yards and eight touchdowns over the team’s first nine games–including a strong performance against Arkansas in which he recorded 230 rushing yards and three touchdowns.

Peyton Manning Makes First Start Since 2011 Playoffs

All eyes will be on Manning Sunday night when he makes his Denver Broncos debut against the Pittsburgh Steelers as fans will be anxious to see if the future Hall of Famer can return to his dominant level after missing all of 2011 while recovering from a neck injury. After struggling in the first two preseason games, Manning showed potential in Week 3 and made the Broncos feel better about their decision to make him the starting quarterback considering the risk and it should be interesting to see how well he performs on Sunday night against a Steelers’ defense that should be near the top of the rankings once again in 2012.

On the bright side, at least Manning doesn’t have to worry about playing against safety Ryan Clark and linebacker James Harrison.
