College Football Preview: South Carolina Gamecocks vs. Georgia Bulldogs

College football fans could not ask for a better matchups in the SEC this weekend as numerous ranked teams will square off against one another in what could end up being one of the top weekends in football this season. While the LSU Tigers prepare for a critical matchup against the Florida Gators, the South Carolina Gamecocks and Georgia Bulldogs are set to square off in a key SEC matchup on Saturday.

Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray has made quite the name for himself when it comes to Heisman Candidates after completing 68.2 percent of his passes for 1,370 yards for 12 touchdowns and three touchdowns. Murray has thrown at least two touchdowns in each of the Bulldogs first five games so far this season and he has a chance to make a name for himself on Saturday against a South Carolina opponent that is allowing opponents to score just 11.2 points per game.

As for the Gamecocks, they’re hoping for a strong performance from Marcus Lattimore–who has rushed for 440 yards and eight touchdowns in five games so far this season. Lattimore will be a key factor to South Carolina’s success on offense and could end up being the difference maker when it comes to who wins this game.

However, let’s not forget about Georgia running back Todd Gurley–who has already rushed for 536 yards and nine touchdowns over the first five games. This will most likely turn out to be an offensive showdown and it should be interesting to see which team steps it up the most on Saturday to reamin unbeaten heading into Week 7.
