2012 Fantasy Football Busts Week 6: Looking at the Top Three Players

Here’s a look at the top three players for 2012 Fantasy Football Busts Week 6:

3. New York Giants Running Back Ahmad Bradshaw

One of the biggest surprises of Week 5 was Bradshaw’s performance against the Cleveland Browns as he topped all running backs with a 200-yard performance. However, these type of numbers are highly unlikely on Sunday as the Giants take on one of the league’s best defenses at stopping the run in the San Francisco 49ers.

The Niners are only allowing 81.4 yards per game on the ground and there’s a good chance the Giants will rely more on Eli Manning in the passing game–so don’t expect big numbers from Bradshaw.

2. Baltimore Ravens Wide Receiver Anquan Boldin

The last two weeks have been impressive for Boldin as he’s recorded 13 catches for 213 yards, but he faces a difficult challenge in Week 6 against the Dallas Cowboys and their improved secondary from 2011. Dallas’ defense sits at the top of the league when it comes to stopping the pass–so don’t be surprised if the Ravens rely more on Ray Rice and the ground game on Sunday.

1. New England Patriots Wide Receiver Wes Welker

Nobody is questioning Welker anymore after he got off to a rough start the first week of the season considering he’s 30 passes over the last three weeks. There’s no question Welker is Tom Brady‘s favorite target in the passing game, but the Seattle Seahawks have one of the youngest and most up-and-coming defenses in the NFL–which could mean low numbers for Welker on Sunday.

The Seahawks managed to shutdown the Green Bay Packers and their strong group of wide receiver a few weeks ago–so it could certainly happen again with the Patriots.
