One of the most exciting games from Week 7 came on Sunday between the Washington Redskins and New York Giants as these two NFC East rivals provided another classic finish for fans to enjoy. After the Redskins took a 23-20 lead in the final two minutes of the game, the Giants bounced back right away when Eli Manning connected with Victor Cruz for a 77-yard touchdown pass that ended up being the difference maker in New York’s 27-23 win.
While the game in general was filled with plenty of excitement, it’s always fun to see the type of excitement going on in the parking lots before the game as fans from both teams get together to tailgate before watching their favorite team play. One of the greatest things about this rivalry is both teams are within driving distance of each other that makes it easy to do a day trip–so there were plenty of Redskins fans willing to make the trip for this one.
Washington fans had plenty to brag about in the past with the Redskins winning three Super Bowls, but it’s the Giants fans who have had the last laugh as of late considering Manning and company have won two of the last five Super Bowls to give them a total of four in franchise history. Either way, this NFC East matchup in Week 8 was filled with plenty of fun and excitement for both sets of fans and it’s clear the Redskins and Giants have two of the top fan bases in the NFL.
