2012 NFL Season Week 9: Looking at the Top Three Games
Here’s a look at the top three games for Sunday of 2012 NFL Season Week 9:
In a matchup between two of the top rising defenses in the league, Sunday’s game between the Vikings and Seahawks should be considered a must win for both teams with the way things have gone over the last few weeks.
Adrian Peterson currently leads the league with 775 rushing yards, but he may face one of his most difficult challenges on Sunday as he goes against the league’s fifth best defense when it comes to stopping the run. Plus, Seattle is arguably one of the most difficult places to play at with a strong and passionate fan base–so it certainly won’t be easy for the Vikings to pull away with a win in this one.
Unfortunately for the Steelers, they may be at a disadvantage in Week 9 against the Giants as they’re forced to travel on Sunday due to Hurricane Sandy. New York has been one of the hottest teams in football over the last few weeks and will be heavily tested against Pittsburgh’s defense–who always seems to rank near the top of the league.
Eli Manning and Victor Cruz continue to develop into one of the league’s top quarterback-wide receiver duos and it should be interesting to see if they can keep it going on Sunday.
While the Falcons remain the only undefeated team, the Cowboys are looking to bounce back after last weekend’s devastating loss to the Giants. If Tony Romo and company suffer their fifth loss of the year on Sunday, it may be time to officially hit the panic button in Dallas.
