2012 Fantasy Football Busts Week 11: Looking at the Top Three Players
Here’s a look at the top three players for 2012 Fantasy Football Busts Week 11:
3. Baltimore Ravens WR Torrey Smith
Despite recording three touchdown catches over his last four games, Smith is always a risk when it comes to putting up big numbers on the road and will be going up against one of the top defenses the league has to offer in the Pittsburgh Steelers. There were high expectations for Smith after a phenomenal rookie season in 2011, but the wideout has only managed to record one 100-yard game so far this season.
2. San Diego Chargers QB Philip Rivers
It seemed like Rivers was in for a big game last weekend against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after throwing for 337 yards and three touchdowns, but his two costly interceptions played a major role in the outcome of the game. The Denver Broncos have been one of the best stories in football this season and it’s hard to ignore the fact that Rivers recorded six turnovers when these two teams met for the first time earlier this season.
In other words–don’t be surprised if Rivers continues to struggle on Sunday against one of the top defenses in the league.
1. Jacksonville Jaguars RB Rashad Jennings
Considering he played on a team with few offensive weapons, fantasy owners had high expectations for Jennings when Maurice Jones-Drew went down, but he’s been a major disappointment over the last two weeks as he’s recorded just 72 rushing yarsd. Take this into consideration with the fact that the Houston Texans rank third when it comes to stopping the run–Jennings appears to be in for another disappointing effort on Sunday.
