Here’s a look at the top three players for 2012 Fantasy Football Week 13:
3. Denver Broncos RB Knowshon Moreno
The Broncos running back ended up being one of the biggest surprises of Week 12 after rushing for 85 yards against the Kansas City Chiefs, but he faces a tough challenge on Sunday against a Tampa Bay Buccaneers team that ranks No. 1 when it comes to stopping the run. Denver realizes the best way to win this game is going to be through the air with Peyton Manning and company as Tampa Bay has one of the worst defenses in the league when it comes to stopping the pass–so don’t expect a big day from Moreno.
2. Detroit Lions WR Titus Young
No wide receiver has been more frustrating to deal with on the Lions over the last couple of weeks than Young and with the emergence of Ryan Broyles–Sunday doesn’t look good for Young to put up big numbers. The wideout has only caught seven passes for 79 yards over the last three games and is expected to be a game-time decision–so it would be best to just avoid him in general.
1. Pittsburgh Steelers WR Mike Wallace
One thing has been clear over the last couple of weeks–the Steelers are not the same team without Ben Roethlisberger in the lineup. With their star quarterback out of the lineup again for Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens, the wide receivers could be in for a long afternoon–especially when it comes to Wallace.
The wideout has only recorded one game with 100+ receiving yards this season to go along with just 11 catches for 113 yards over the last four games and Baltimore will be looking to increase their lead in the AFC North–so Wallace should be avoided at all costs.
