2012 NFL Power Rankings Week 14: Looking at the Top Five Teams
Here’s a look at the top five teams for 2012 NFL Power Rankings Week 14:
After a disappointing loss to the New York Giants, the Packers bounced back with a big win over the Minnesota Vikings–but this offense still doesn’t appear to be playing at the top of their game. Aaron Rodgers needs to start playing like the MVP from last season again and the latest injury to Jordy Nelson could hurt this team over the final four weeks of the regular season as they look to stay on top of the NFC North.
The Broncos continue to be one of the hottest teams in football after they breezed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 13 to pick up their seventh-straight win of the season. Peyton Manning continues to look like his old MVP self after throwing three touchdowns for the seventh time in nine games.
It’s safe to say the Patriots are one of the hottest teams in football over the last two months after their victory over the Miami Dolphins to give them their sixth-straight win and capture yet another AFC East title. Even without Rob Gronkowski, this team continues to roll and should be considered a major threat over the final four weeks of the regular season.
Atlanta continues to find the strangest ways to win football games and they made a huge statement in Week 13 with a win over the New Orleans Saints. What’s even more impressive–the Falcons picked off Drew Brees five times and ended the quarterback’s streak of 54-straight games with at least one touchdown pass.
After surrendering 68 points over the previous two games, the Texans needed a game like Sunday against the Tennessee Titans to get the defense back on track. Houston picked off Jake Locker three times and held the Titans to just 10 points, but the biggest win of all was increasing their lead for the No. 1 seed to two games.
