2012 Fantasy Football Busts Week 14: Looking at the Top Three Players

Here’s a look at the top three players for 2012 Fantasy Football Busts Week 14:

3. San Diego Chargers RB Ryan Matthews

For a running back with high expectations heading into the regular season, Matthews has been nothing but a disappointment for owners this year as he’s yet to break the 100-yard rushing mark once the entire season. Matthews only recorded 26 rushing yards on nine attempts last weekend against the Cincinnati Bengals and could be in trouble again on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers–who rank fifth when it comes to stopping the run.

2. Miami Dolphins RB Reggie Bush

Let’s be honest–Bush has not been the same type of running back since Week 2 of this season as he’s only broken the 70-yard rushing mark once since then. One of the main reasons behind this may have to due with the fact that Bush hasn’t received 20 carries in a game since that week either and there’s a good chance that will happen again on Sunday as Miami prepare for a key matchup against the San Francisco 49ers–a team that ranks third in the league when it comes to rushing defense.

1. Pittsburgh Steelers WR Mike Wallace

After last weekend’s big win over the Baltimore Ravens on the road, the Steelers are feeling better about their chances of earning a Wild Card spot for January. Of course, their chances of making that happen would be much better if Wallace wasn’t in a funk this season.

Despite his five-catch performance against the Ravens, Wallace has only caught 16 passes over the last five games and broken the 100-yard receiving mark once this entire season. The Chargers may be struggling this year, but don’t expect Wallace to put up big numbers once again in Week 14.
