2012 Fantasy Football Busts Week 16: Looking at the Top Three Players
Here’s a look at the top three players for 2012 Fantasy Football Busts Week 16:
3. Philadelphia Eagles Running Back Bryce Brown
A couple weeks ago, Brown was one of the best pickups in fantasy football and was a key factor in helping some owners reach the playoffs this year considered there was a point in which he rushed for 347 yards and four touchdowns over a two-game span. Since then, Brown has struggled to get anything consisten going as he’s rushed for just 40 yards over the last two games.
What’s even worse–Brown will lose carries against the Washington Redskins now that LeSean McCoy is back in the lineup.
2. San Francisco 49ers Running Back Frank Gore
The numbers may be impressive for a running back, but Gore has only crossed the 100-yard rushing mark twice all season as the 49ers continue to look like one of the top teams in the league heading into Week 16. San Francisco’s best chance of pulling off the win on Sunday will most likely come through the air considering the Seattle Seahawks rank 10th when it comes to stopping the run.
1. Arizona Cardinals Wide Receiver Larry Fitzgerald
The argument can be made that no star players has been more of a disappointment this season than Fitzgerald and what’s even more frustrating–it’s not even his fault.
Arizona’s quarterback situation in 2012 has been an absolute disaster as Fitzgerald has recorded just 674 receiving yards heading into Week 16. For a player selected in the first three rounds for most fantasy leagues, it’s tough to let these numbers sink in.
