2012 Fantasy Football Sleepers Week 16: Looking at the Top Three Players

Here’s a look at the top three players for 2012 Fantasy Football Week 16:

3. St. Louis Rams Wide Receiver Brandon Gibson

For a team like the Rams, Sam Bradford already has limited options in the passing game. And with Gibson catching 12 passes over the last two weeks, the potential is certainly there once again to display big numbers on Sunday considering the Tampa Bay Buccaneers rank last in the league when it comes to stopping the pass.

In other words–Gibson should be considered in all leagues if he’s available.

2. New England Patriots Running Back Danny Woodhead

There’s no reason why the Patriots should struggle against a team like the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday–which is exactly why Woodhead has the potential to put up big numbers. Last weekend against the San Francisco 49ers, Woodhead found the end zone twice to go along with 61 rushing yards and could receive extra playing time if this game turns into a blowout.

1. New Orleans Saints Wide Receiver Joe Morgan

2012 may not have gone the way the Saints hoped it would, but that doesn’t mean they wouldn’t love an opportunity at playing the spoiler role in Week 16 against the Dallas Cowboys–arguably one of the hottest teams in football over the last few weeks.

Dallas has given up some big numbers to opposing receivers lately and Morgan has recorded 167 receiving yards over the last two games to go along with one touchdown. Morgan may seem like a big risk due to his inconsistency, but if he does manage to put up big numbers against the Cowboys–it could easily become a huge advantage for any owner competing in their fantasy championship.
