Denver Mayor Michael Hancock Must Do Ray Lewis Dance After Losing Bet

There was plenty of excitement from the Divisional Round of the 2013 NFL playoffs, but the argument can be made that no game was more exciting than Saturday’s matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and Denver Broncos. After trailing by seven points in the final moment, Joe Flacco found Jacoby Jones for the 70-yard touchdown to tie the game up before winning the game in overtime–which means Denver Mayor Michael Hancock lost a bet that will force him to do the Ray Lewis dance.

Hancock made a bet with Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake for Saturday’s game, but now he claims  he’s unable to do the dance after he “pulled a muscle” in his leg before the Ravens-Broncos game. It’s obvious that Hancock was feeling confident about Saturday’s game considering nobody gave the Ravens a chance going against the No. 1 seed in the AFC and there’s a good chance he figured it would be an easy bet to win, but at least be man enough to follow through on the bet.

The battle between Baltimore and Denver may go down as one of the craziest endings to a playoff game as the Broncos finished the regular season as one of the hottest teams in football while the Ravens appeared to have fallen apart in the second half of the regular season. Either way, a bet is a bet and the fact that Hancock is making up excuses on his end shows what a sore loser he really is over his Broncos losing in their first game of the postseason.
