Even at 34, Kobe Bryant is still growing up. Last April, Bryant was fined $100,000 by the NBA for muttering a homophobic slur under his great at referee Bennie Adams. The television crew caught it and Bryant was reprimanded by the league. He’s apparently either learned his lesson since then or is putting forth a little effort in his image rehabilitation because two of his 1.3 million Twitter followers got into an argument that resulted in a homophobic slur and Bryant played dad.

Hard to believe, right? Of course, no one knows whether or not Kobe has actually cured his homophobia or if he’s just using this as PR move, but either way it’s halfway admirable. The guy is hardly a role model, but if there’s on thing you want your kids to pick up from Bryant’s “habits,” it’s this.
Despite Bryant being nice off the court, there’s still trouble on it. In addition to fighting social media crime, he’s also fighting the LA media over all the drama with the Los Angeles Lakers these days. They’re awful on the court and the media won’t let them forget it. Maybe Kobe is attempting to put together a new plan for his life after basketball. Maybe this season has proved to him that he’s not an ageless wonder and the Lakers’ time of dominance in the Kobe era is over.
Sike! Do you really think Kobe is getting his act together, even at age 34? You’ve got another thing coming, bro.
