Do you have any questions?
Are you still wearying of what the Gonzaga Bulldogs can bring to the table in this year’s NCAA Tournament?
Headlined by WCC Player of the Year and potential National Player of the Year candidate Kelly Olynyk, the Bulldogs have roared into March by securing yet another West Coast Conference Tournament title. Gonzaga completed the sweep of the conference’s regular season and tournament championships on Monday night by simply overpowering Saint Mary’s in Las Vegas.
At this point, the Bulldogs have left no doubt of their seeding when the brackets are released on Selection Sunday. Gonzaga will be a one seed, mark that down. The only question that remains undecided is whether or not they will earn the No. 1 overall seed within the tournament field, but that all hinges on some of the power conference tournaments later this week.
Either way, get on the bandwagon if you are not already.
With the WCC Tournament win, the Bulldogs are dancing for a 15th consecutive season, a mark that is simply incredible in comparison to some of the top programs within the sport. Head coach Mark Few has transformed this Gonzaga program from a Cinderella mid-major to an elite, nationally respected squad. The Bulldogs will enter the NCAA Tournament field as the No. 1 team in the country, according to the AP Poll.
Bottom line: what more could you want?
Buckle up college basketball fans, Few has his best team in school history and the Bulldogs are looking to send the nation one more final statement in the Big Dance.
