Big Ten Tournament: Wisconsin, Ohio State Set For "In-Your-Face" Title Bout

On Saturday afternoon, the Wisconsin Badgers notched their 12th consecutive victory over the Indiana Hoosiers.

Yes, you heard that correctly, 12 in a row.

Wisconsin knocked off Indiana on Saturday and advanced to the Big Ten Championship contest in the process. The Badgers, who are keyed by the conference’s Coach of the Year in Bo Ryan, are known for their stifling defense and once again it shined on Saturday.

Wisconsin faces one more brutal test however, as they will face off against the Ohio State Buckeyes for all the marbles in the Big Ten Tournament. We expected this to be a heavyweight fight and so far, so good, but there’s one more match-up still on the docket.

Wisconsin will drag this one out once again, looking to limit the Buckeyes on the offensive end. Ohio State and Wisconsin met twice during the regular season, splitting their season series at this point. So, throw that into the equation. Not only in this contest for the Big Ten Tournament crown, it’s also a rubber match in their individual match-up.

Each team took care of business at home during the regular season, but the overall trend was Wisconsin’s defense. In the two match-ups, the Buckeyes are only averaging 53.5 points per game despite coming away with one victory in that span.

Certainly expect some in your face defense on Sunday afternoon as the nation’s top conference comes down to either Wisconsin or Ohio State.
