2013 NCAA Tournament Video: 5 Bracket Busters to Watch For
We always think about who is going to be theteam that messes up my bracket this year? Well, try and get prepared and take a look at five teams who have the capability to be a bracket buster within the 2013 NCAA Tournament.
Davidson- The Wildcats are a 14 seed and they must face a Marquette squad that won a share of the Big East regular season tournament championship. Led by Jake Cohen and De’Mon Brooks however, Davidson has the experience and talent and sometimes that’s all that these mid-major bracket busters need.
Pittsburgh- The Panthers are an eight seed out west, but don’t write this team off while filling out your bracket. Pittsburgh features a senior leader in the back court in Tray Woodall and a solid rotation of capable players in their front court. They don’t have an easy path, but don’t think for one second that the Panthers can’t find themselves making a move towards Los Angeles.
North Carolina State- It’ll be easier said than done in 2013, but the Wolfpack did make a run to the Sweet 16 as a No. 11 seed a season ago. Don’t be surprised if they bust some more brackets this year, but that would include getting past Indiana, who President Barack Obama picked to win it all.
San Diego State- The Aztecs are led by Jamaal Franklin and if you haven’t heard of him yet, jot the name down. Franklin has superstar potential and San Diego State has the talent to make a run in the bottom of the South Region. Watch out for the Aztecs.
Oregon- The Ducks were handed a 12-seed in the Midwest Region. Wait what? The Pac-12 Tournament champions, who won 26 games this season, were given what seed? Yes, a 12-seed, so keep an eye on Oregon because they might just have a chip on their shoulder. They are balanced and proven so the Ducks could certainly bust a few brackets in 2013.
