No. 1 Indiana vs. No. 4 Syracuse

Fueled by a 10-0 run late in Sunday afternoon’s third round match-up with Temple, the Indiana Hoosiers advanced to their second consecutive Sweet 16 under head coach Tom Crean. Indiana was trailing by four late, but that ten point advantage is what keyed their six point win.

As for Syracuse, things were a bit easier. The Orange routed Montana by 47 points and then handled a late push from No. 12 California to advance to the Sweet 16.

In this one, Cody Zeller’s production against the Syracuse bigs will be crucial, but the key to the game is likely the Hoosiers’ ability to hit outside shots against the Orange’s 2-3 zone.. Jordan Hulls, Victor Oladpio, and Christian Watford will all be crucial and Indiana will advance to the Elite 8.

No. 2 Miami (FL) vs. No. 3 Marquette

Marquette is doing what they’ve done all season long — go above and beyond expectations. The Golden Eagles have escaped with two close wins in the first two rounds and that makes this team dangerous heading into what is their third consecutive Sweet 16 appearance. Yes, that’s what head coach Buzz Williams does, he simply deserves more credit.

Miami (FL) escaped Illinois late on Sunday night, but the Hurricanes are going to need a tougher performance if they hope to advance to the Elite 8. We’re going with Marquette in this one, as the Golden Eagles will advance to their first Elite 8 since 2003.

No. 1 Indiana vs. No. 3 Marquette
