2013 NFL Draft Player Prospect Profile: DeAndre Hopkins

After strong performances at the combine and pro day, DeAndre Hopkins has seen his draft stock rise over the last couple of weeks and he could end up being a surprise first-round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. The Clemson wideout has been praised for his ability as a route runner and for the way he uses his hands when it comes to catching the ball–so the potential is certainly there for Hopkins to see plenty of playing time during his rookie season.

Of course, just like every other player in this draft, Hopkins has a few areas in need of improvement. If he can manage to bulk up and build up his frame, Hopkins could turn into one of the top wide receiver sleepers from this year’s draft class–so it will be interesting to see where he ends up for the 2013 season.

This year’s draft class is filled with plenty of talented wide receivers that could go in the first round and while he may not be the first player at his position taken, there’s still a good chance Hopkins could end up being selected in the first round. The fact that Hopkins recorded 18 touchdowns as a junior in 2012 shows just how much potential he has at the pro level.

If his college career is any indication of what the future holds, any team will be lucky to have a player as talented as Hopkins on their roster for the 2013 season.
