Pacers vs. Heat: Game 4 Shows Series Will Go Down to the Wire
Don’t call it a comeback! After getting molly-rocked at home by the Miami Heat in Game 3, the Indiana Pacers got off to a roaring start in Game 4 with a double-digit lead right off the bat and fought off the defending champs to tie the Eastern Conference Finals at 2-2.
After the fast start, the Pacers rode Roy Hibbert during the game’s biggest moments. The big man had 23 points and 12 boards and what seemed like a dozen put-backs off misses by his teammates, including a critical three-point play with a minute and a half to play that sealed the deal.
The interesting part about this game was Lance Stephenson not only hitting big shots, but getting under the skin of the Miami players — he pestered LeBron James until the King was called for a technical and then bothered Ray Allen before hitting two clutch shots down the stretch. Now he and his Indiana teammates go back to Miami with the series knotted at 2-2.
Since the San Antonio Spurs finished off the Memphis Grizzlies, everyone has been talking about the Spurs-Heat Finals matchup that’s coming up, but the Pacers have a little message for all of us: it ain’t over yet!
