U.S. Open 2013 Preview
Adam Scott pulled off an improbable run back in April to become the first Australian to win the Masters and since then, the likes of Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and the rest of golf’s top names have been itching to get back on the course.
All eyes will be on the top group for the opening rounds as Woods, Scott and McIlroy will be playing together at Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, Penn. Woods is the early favorite to win the U.S. Open at 9/2 odds with his playing partners at 20/1, along with the lies of Phil Mickelson and Matt Kuchar.
Of course, last year’s champion, Webb Simpson, is at 40/1, but he won’t be in as big of a spotlight as Sergio Garcia (also at 40/1), whose spat with Tiger at the Players Championship garnered way more negative attention than he intended.
So who will it be? Will Scott win back-to-back majors? Will McIlroy or Woods return to prominence? Will Garcia finally get over the hump? Comment below and let us know!
