Kevin Durant, Monica Wright Engaged, Will Soon Create a Basketball Superstar

Kevin Durant is going to get a ring one way or another.

However, the question is whether or not his wedding band will come prior to his first NBA title and championship ring. Unable to keep their relationship under wraps any longer, Durant and Monica Wright of the Minnesota Lynx are indeed getting engaged. Rarely do we get to see such exceptional athletes fall in love, so here’s to a lengthy and loving relationship between ballers.

Both hail from the Maryland area and have been linked to one another since their High School days when both Durant and Wright were heralded as basketball superstars. In 2006, the two phenoms were at the McDonald’s High School All-American Game where they would converse and supposedly hit it off. Seven years and a whole bunch of cash later — the two lovebirds enjoy the grueling life of being NBA and WNBA stars, respectively.

If you can recall, the Oklahoma City Thunder saw a hike in Durant’s technical fouls in 2012-13. However, maybe settling down into a committed relationship will ease KD’s apparently hot temper.

Although Durant and Wright are both under the age of 25, it’s never too early to start thinking about the offspring that this talented duo is set to create. With a 6-foot-11 father and a 5-foot-11 mother, I will be shocked if the couple’s kids don’t wind up playing in at least a few NBA or WNBA All-Star games.
