Von Miller’s Possible Suspension Won’t Affect Him or Denver Broncos
Say it ain’t so, man. Von Miller is facing a possible four-game suspension for reportedly violating the NFL‘s substance abuse policy. However, Miller is appealing the suspension and has the support of the NFL Players Association. Not only that, but he tweeted his innocence and is taking everything in stride.
Seeing reports abt 4 game susp. I know I did nothing wrong. I’m sure this’ll be resolved fairly. Disapp. Broncos have 2 open camp like this.
— Von Miller (@MillerLite40) July 22, 2013
Miller is arguably the best defensive player in the NFL and he has a clean past other than the failed drug test that was reported by the Denver Post, who cites anonymous sources. The test actually came from Miller’s rookie year, but the NFL has a confidentiality clause on these sorts of situations unless the appeals fail.
Regardless of wether Miller has to serve the suspension, the Denver Broncos will be fine. Heck, they began Peyton Manning‘s first season 2-3 and then reeled off 11 in a row, so they could finish 14-2 if they split their first four games. And of course, Miller could be telling the truth and he may not miss any time at all.
What do you think? Is Miller innocent? How will the Broncos fare this year? Comment below and let us know!
