Name: Chris Ivory
Team: New York Jets
Position: Running Back
Years Pro: 3
Draft stock: (Rising) Every fantasy football owner loves starting running backs, so Ivory is getting more attention by the day. Without anyone to steal his carries in the Big Apple, Ivory is moving up draft boards faster than you can believe.
2012 fantasy impact: Ivory was buried by the New Orleans Saints running back depth and passing-heavy offense once again. With that being said, Ivory was able to reach the endzone twice in just six games. Lower-body injuries have been an issue for Ivory since his NFL career began and they sidelined him again in 2012.
Best-case scenario: The Jets gave Ivory a huge opportunity and he runs with it — literally. The monstrous yet quick running back becomes the next best thing in fantasy football with double digit touchdowns.
Worst-case scenario: An increased workload in the Big Apple only brings an injury-prone Ivory down. The Jets’ offense is so awful that Ivory can only excel against weaker competition.
Where you should draft him: Ivory could very well be the talk of your fantasy draft, but don’t let that force you into drafting the first-time starter higher than the fourth round.
