2013 Fantasy Football Player Profile: Greg Jennings Going Under the Radar

Name: Greg Jennings

Team: Minnesota Vikings

Position: Wide Receiver

Years Pro: 8

Draft Stock: (Stagnant) Not too many people are talking about the impact that Jennings will have in Minnesota. With his fantasy football draft stock unknown, Jennings has been under the radar and is someone whose season is largely dependent on the play of Christian Ponder. If No. 7 can emerge then Jennings is a wonderful pick.

2012 fantasy impact: Jennings only played in eight games last season. Even more disappointing is that the Green Bay Packers didn’t even skip a beat with their supposed top wide receiver out of the lineup. Green Bay and the NFL were both reminded of just how quick the torch gets passed on as Jennings became old news in Title Town.

Best-case scenario: The Vikes are competitive once again and Jennings is a large part of a their booming offense. Ponder turns in an All-Pro season and the Adrian Peterson show doesn’t get in the way of Jennings’ success.

Worst-case scenario: Minnesota loses faith in Ponder and the Vikings’ offense becomes one dimensional and Jennings is obsolete. Jennings battles the injury bug once again and is unable to get in a rhythm just like in 2012.

Where you should draft him: Jennings is a surefire seventh-round pick, but the question is whether or not he will get snagged before that. If you wan’t potential then look elsewhere, but Jennings does give you consistency that younger wide receivers just don’t.
