2013 Fantasy Football Profile: T.Y. Hilton’s Big-Play Ability Entices Us All

Name: T.Y. Hilton

Team: Indianapolis Colts

Position: Wide Receiver

Years Pro: 1

Draft Stock: (Stagnant) The Colts impressed a lot of NFL fans last season, yet the naysayers are still saying Indy is a fluke and that Hilton is simply a flash in the pan.

2012 fantasy impact: Hilton was a pleasant surprise to many fantasy football owners in 2012 as he finished the season with a seven touchdowns and universally ranked between 20-25 among wide receivers. The long ball is what set Hilton apart in his rookie season as he reeled in five passes for more than 40 yards in 2012!

Best-case scenario: Reggie Wayne goes down to due injury or Hilton naturally takes the throne as Indy’s No. 1 option. Also, Andrew Luck matures even more and hits Hilton for more deep passes on a consistent basis.

Worst-case scenario: Wayne and Luck have so much chemistry that Hilton is lost in the shuffle. Defenses start to prepare for Hilton’s big-play ability and the Colts’ explosive offense sputters.

Where you should draft him: Hilton is a total wild card. If you believe wholeheartedly in Luck at the quarterback position then pull the trigger as early as round six, but you better hope that Wayne doesn’t have a career season.
