Oregon’s New $68 Million Football Facility Makes NFL Teams Jealous

If you thought Oregon‘s football uniforms were crazy, wait until you see their ridiculous new football facility.

First of all, the 145,000 square-foot structure cost a whopping $68 million. I guess the departure of Chip Kelly to the NFL freed up some money for the Ducks.

How about 65 55-inch TVs that can combine to project a single image? Or the skybridge with an art installation of ducks, each of which has the name of a former Oregon player taken in the NFL Draft.

If that’s not enough, the Star Wars-looking locker rooms or the 80-inch TVs in the “war room” will surely make your jaw drop.

And if all else fails, the ridiculously cool, neon lights-covered cafeteria will open your eyes, especially with the words “Eat Your Enemies” on the wall above the logos of the other Pac-12 schools.

Put simply, the Ducks are the most futuristic collegiate athletic program in the country. This facility is just the latest in a long line of incredible new things Oregon has introduced to world of college sports, but the scary part is thinking about what they’ll do next because Lord knows they’re not done.

Think the Ducks are crazy? You ain’t seen nothin’ yet.

Huge thanks to the fine folks at GoDucks.com for the info on the pictures and photographer Eric Evans for making this presentation possible.
