PGA Championship 2013 Update: Jim Furyk, Jason Dufner Prepare For Round 4 Battle

Gunning for his first major victory in a decade, Jim Furyk is just 18 holes away from leaving Oak Hill Country Club as the winner of the 2013 PGA Championship.

Oddly enough, the man with the 5-Hour Energy cap has climbed all the way to the top of the leaderboard with a rather calm demeanor. After a couple of cold-blooded puts on holes 17 and 18 of the third round, Furyk now has a ton of momentum going into the all-important last day.

However, his biggest competition has got to be Jason Dufner, who followed up his historic Round 2 with a one-over par performance on Saturday. Considering the 36-year old has yet to take home a major victory, it’s safe to say that Sunday will be the biggest round of Dufner’s career. Henrik StensonJonas Blixt and Steve Stricker are all threatening to take Furyk’s crown, but it’s Dufner who I see capturing this year’s PGA Championship.

In fact, I can definitely see a Furyk-Dufner playoff round in the near future, as both haven’t let Oak Hill’s furious winds bring them down.
