New York Jets’ Offseason Summed Up With Mike Goodson’s Suspension
It seems like every day we have a new head-shaking story on the New York Jets and today is no different. A day after the Green Gang found out they might be without Mark Sanchez for the season opener, troubled running back Mike Goodson finally showed up to Jets camp only to find out he’ll miss the first quarter of the season with a suspension.
Seriously, as if Goodson hasn’t been in enough trouble this offseason. The man was arrested on weapons and drug charges and now the league has suspended him four games for violating the substance abuse policy. But there is a silver lining here, New York fans.
During his suspension, Goodson will be allowed to attend team meetings and workouts, so he’ll still be building up for his actual return to the field over a month from now. So look at it as a blessing in disguise: he basically gets his own little preseason to prepare. After Geno Smith‘s latest exhibition performance, looking on the bright side is all the Jets and their fans can do at this point.
