Fast Pitch: Notre Dame’s Misspelling, Diana Nyad’s Swim, Rickie Fowler’s Acting Debut
During Notre Dame‘s win over Temple this weekend, the home team sold some interesting souvenir cups. It’s not the design or the size that makes them special, it’s a misspelling. Connor Muldowney has a picture in the Clubhouse section, but let’s just say the term “Fig-thing Irish” probably won’t catch on in South Bend.
It’s tough to swim from Cuba to Florida. I mean, I’ve never done it, but it looks really hard. But it’s not too difficult for 64-year-old Diana Nyad, who not only swam that incredible length, but made history by completing the feat without a shark cage. Phil Naegely has the details in the Clubhouse section.
If you follow golf at all, you know Rickie Fowler is a big goofball. But his latest stunt of playing “P.I.” in the latest pair of Farmers Insurance commercials might be his best performance yet. Connor Muldowney has the videos for your amusement in the Clubhouse section.
