Worse QB Situation: Oakland Raiders or New York Jets?

Things are rough in Oakland and New York these days, especially when it comes to signal-callers. No matter how much potential or hope the delusional fans of these sad organizations offer, the quarterbacks on the Oakland Raiders and New York Jets‘ rosters are just pathetic. So now the interesting debate: which team is in worse shape under center?

Well, both teams will field quarterbacks in Week 1 that aren’t getting paid the big bucks. The Raiders are not starting Matt Flynn, after trading for him and taking on his new two-year, $11.5 million contract. The Jets are in an even tighter pickle with Mark Sanchez earning $8.25 million this year while sitting on the sideline with an injury.

So Geno Smith, the polarizing second-round pick, will start for the Green Gang in Week 1 while Terrelle Pryor, an Ohio State castaway and supplemental draft pick, will get the nod for the Silver and Black. Is a return to prominence on the horizon for the Jets? Doubt it. Will the Raiders just win, baby, with Pryor at the helm? Probably not.
