Alex Rodriguez’s Appeal Hearing Set; New York Yankees Cross Their Fingers

It has been a wild regular season for the New York Yankees. Nearly all of their high-priced stars were on the disabled list at some point during the first half of the season, yet a mid-year surge has put New York a mere 2.5 games out of the last AL Wild Card spot. While nobody really wants to admit it; Alex Rodriguez returning to this team has brought a new dynamic to the Bronx.

However, the MLB‘s regular season is almost over, which means Rodriguez won’t be able to hide from Bud Selig and company for very much longer. If you remember, Rodriguez was handed a 211-game ban earlier this summer, yet he  immediately appealed and proceeded to play in his fist game of the season on August 5th. Unfortunately for A-Rod, the appeal process can only last so long, and the New York slugger is more than likely going to be out of action for a long time.

With that being said, the Yankees’ third basemen still can help lead his club to the postseason and continue to troll the entire game of baseball at the same time.

On the other hand, Yankees general manager Hal Steinbrenner will be able to make his offseason plans knowing whether or not Rodriguez is indeed going to serve the 211-game suspension. Until that time, we wait for MLB to make a decision on the most infamous alleged steroid user of the century.
