Jadeveon Clowney Embarrassed, Silenced By Georgia Bulldogs’ Potent Offense

If you weren’t picking Jadeveon Clowney to win the 2013 Heisman Trophy this summer, then you were seen by many as a total fool. Oddly enough, we are only two weeks into college footballs 2013 regular season and Clowney has already played his way out of the Heisman discussion. After a disappointing season debut versus the North Carolina Tar Heels, the highly-revered defensive end was supposed to bounce back in Week 2.

He didn’t.

Instead, the Georgia Bulldogs stampeded the South Carolina Gamecocks‘ defensive line without mercy. Clowney was unable to make a big impact as Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray was virtually untouched the entire game, which allowed him to shred the USC defense. A normal player would be happy with just one sack, but to whom a lot is given a lot is also expected, so Clowney can’t be content with just one sack after his first two games of the 2013 campaign.

NFL teams are definitely keeping a close eye on Clowney this year as he has been pegged by most as a top-three pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. I can guarantee that the smarter professional football teams are beginning to question just how bad Clowney wants to be the next best thing at the defensive end position.
