Reggie Bush’s Breakout Performance Has Fantasy Football Owners Buzzing

Finally! The Reggie Bush everyone has been waiting to see since he left USC showed up in the Detroit Lions‘ Week 1 win over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday and rewarded fantasy football owners brave enough to take a chance on him this year. Bush tallied 191 total yards and a touchdown while showing that same explosiveness we saw during his Trojan days.

The 77-yard catch-and-run Bush took for a touchdown put the Lions up by 10 in the third quarter and that was all she wrote. But the kicker here was the fact Bush didn’t get tackled for a 12-yard gain after the catch; instead, he hauled in the ball and then darted through Minnesota’s defense like he did to so many Pac-12 squads in college.

It’s just one game, but this is what everyone expected Bush to do in Detroit. The Lions are a pass-happy team and Bush is the definition of a pass-catching running back, so it’s a match made in Heaven. It’s still too early to call Bush an RB1 in fantasy football just yet, but good luck trading for him now.
