Texas A&M Beat By Alabama, Thrown Out Of BCS Title Game Conversation

Despite a nice day from Johnny Manziel, the Texas A&M Aggies‘ once-promising hopes of playing in the 2014 BCS Title Game are now down the drain. A nail-biting loss to the Alabama Crimson Tide puts the Aggies in a 2-1 hole, so let’s take a look at a few programs that are more deserving than Texas A&M to play in January’s season finale.

For starters, the Oregon Ducks looked wonderful on Saturday as they absolutely steamrolled the Tennessee Volunteers – a team that came into Eugene with upset on its mind. Well, after a convincing 59-14 victory, the Ducks are riding high and are my pick to square off against the Crimson Tide in the 2014 National Championship Game.

Everyone wants to see Alabama’s stout defense go up against the Ducks’ high-flying offense — myself included.

However, the Ohio State Buckeyes are another team that could easily finish the regular season 12-0 once again and face a Nick-Saban led crew this Winter. Although Braxton Miller has battled injuries for each of the last two years, you should still look out for this OSU team as Urban Meyer has two BCS Championships under his belt and they are nothing to scoff at.

At the end of the day; someone is going to try and slay the dragon that is the Crimson Tide, but it won’t be the Aggies.
