Fantasy Football Players to Drop Heading Into Week 3

If your fantasy football team looks anything like mine after two weeks, you’re making some major roster changes heading into Week 3. Of course, it’s always hard to drop players who have past success and/or possible future upside, but here are five players you need to ditch quickly.

Benjarvus Green-Ellis is no longer a featured running back. He was only just above average even when he was, but now Giovani Bernard is the hot name in Cincy, so the Law Firm isn’t even worth a roster spot at this point.

Brandon Pettigrew has five catches and one measly fantasy point through two weeks. Considering he plays in the Detroit Lions‘ pass-happy offense, he’s worthless to fantasy owners at this point.

So much for Michael Bush being the goal line back in Chicago. Through two games, he has eight carries for 15 yards and hasn’t even sniffed the end zone. Get rid of him now unless he’s your handcuff for Matt Forte.

Montee Ball is nothing more than a surefire backup in the Mile High City. He was overshadowed big time by Knowshon Moreno in Week 2 and he won’t get any real work anytime soon unless the new Denver Broncos‘ starter suddenly flops.

Fred Davis only played 16 snaps in Week 2 and Jordan Reed has received more targets from a hobbled RG3 in both the Washington Redskins‘ games. Until that changes, Davis is not worth a roster spot.
